Honda Civic 2001 Fuel Lid Opner Problem?

• Hello, I have a problem with my 2001 Civic fuel lid opener. It can't open the fuel lid door especially in freezing weather.   Okay, the dealer is going to charge you way to much! first of all. Secondly, that kit is to fix a broken cable, not to take care of freezing conditions! Third, my advice is this: you can do what i did, and just disconnect the cable after rigging the lock mechanism down, you just slide you key into the gap and pop it open. or you can attempt to tighten the cable so regardless of the weather you can open the fuel door. it's really a decision of how much money you want to spend and how much you know about cars.
