Turbo/ Supercharger question Honda civic vti?

• Hi. I have a 1999 honda civic si (vti in the uk) and i am planning to supercharge it .. I read that if you do a compression test and leakdown test and they are ok you dont really need to rebuild your moto.. Both of the tests went ok however my moto has 130.000 mph and i was thinking to rebuild it If i am going to put a supercharge it . What are your thoughts on that? If i do rebuild the engine can you recommend parts (compression forged pistons,head gaskets etc) or companies that specialize on engine parts for 1999 si .. i looked at greddy but on their website they didnt have much for my car... It seems that the most popular supercharger are JR and Vortex .. however i live in the uk and i was wondering if you can guys can recommend a company that specializes in the uk as for both of the above brands you can only get them in the U.S. What gain (BHP) shall i expect to get from each supercharger (average)?

  If you want the most improvment in power then rebuild it with as many improvment as you can afford Otherwise just bolt-on a blower and hope for the best, you can probably pickup another engine from a scrap yard for a resonable price if it blows-up Jap engines are pretty tough this site my be able to help you find parts http://www.pow-r.co.uk/home.asp Hope this helps have fun and don't crash it
