What are some insecticide free flea killers?

• I have fleas inside and outside of my home.I don't want to use flea killers that contain poisens because I have a 1 year that is all over the floors.What is something that I could use that will work but be safe for children and pets?

  food grade diatomaceous earth can be used but it will not eradicate the problem ... you need a spray from the vet, something like Vet-Kem, which is made up mostly of pyrethrin (from chrysanthemum flowers) and safe for pets and kids ... if you do not use a proper product the fleas are just going to take over and that would be worse for your child than using a mild insecticide ... fleas feed on anything warm and that includes family members and not just the pets ... the diatomaceous earth is great to treat your yard with (i find it messy in the house) ... and you can put a flea collar into your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum every single day for a month to get up and kill as many fleas and eggs as you can ... hot wash and dry everything you can that the pets spend a lot of time ...
