What's the difference between Current (I) and Potential Difference (V?

Whats the difference between a (JDM) v-tec engine or ECU, and a normal one?

  • i want to buy a JDM b16 2nd GEN v-tec engine for my car, but i don't know whats the difference between a JDM and one thats not a JDM i know JDM comes from japan but is there a diference in horsepower on any other functons?

  • Answer:

The jdm versions will be slightly different and in most cases slightly smaller. Jdm engines typically have a slightly higher compression ratio and to compensate, the jdm ecu will have a different fuel curve and some sensors that your car may not have. You can still run a jdm ecu just make sure that its OBD1.

Other answers

basically the same except they have some series of engines in Japan that never made it over here. a b16a over there is the same as a b16a over here. check out websites like honda-tech.com for more info on engine swaps
