98 honda prelude help?

Lost 98 honda prelude keys HELP?

  • I Lost My honda keys at work looked everywhere when I gotten my car from the tote to note place only got 1 key to start the car. Everywhere iv called says they cant cut me a key with out A red or black key????? Then Honda dealer had said i would need to replace the anti theft SYSTEM adn have new keys made and when everything said and done be round 600.00 and sounds ridiculous thinking there's gotta be a better solution please if anybody knows or been in my situation please help me and I if your gonna not help answer with a stupid comment please don't wast my time I know I messed up made a mistake.........

    Car keys usually have a key code that is included with the set of keys. I'm not sure if you have written down this code on the manual. Look at the manual and see if it's there. If not then you can probably contact any automotive locksmith. Google it and you will find a couple of hits. I'm just hoping you don't have a "restricted" key that are rare. If you still have one key somebody can use the ilco key duplicator and rewrite the old code to the new key and it will work.That way you will have more keys. If you lost all the keys and you dont have the red key the immobilizer system will need to be replaced. I work for a Honda dealer and I check the price, is about 350.00 to 400.00 for the whole thing. Good luck!
