Does the 2008 Honda Element EX have a passenger sear armrest?

  • I am looking to buy a new car and I want to know if the 2008 Honda Element EX has a passenger sear armrest? Someone who owns an older model, said they do not come with one. Then I looked on the Honda site and I can't see one in the pictures, but they do sell a front seat middle arm rest. I don't know. If so, then do I have to buy the middle arm console?

    no, there is no passenger seat armrest for the 2008 Element EX there is a driver's side armrest with storage compartment that wil double as a passenger side armrest but its not adjustable. you can see that on the http://automobiles.honda.com/element/accessory-detail.aspx?Accessory=ELEME08091%22 the center console is only on the SC from what I can tell hope that helps

I just last week bought a 2008 Element EX and yes it DOES have a passenger seat armrest. The LX doesn't. Not sure when they added it as standard in the EX, but sometime after 2005 (I looked at a used 2005 but the financing was so good on the new one I had to go with that). I considered the "console" driver's side one and decided against it. I can get it later if I decide I need even more nooks and crannies to put stuff away in.

There are a couple of pictures of the storage armrest on the following thread from the EOC...http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33726&highlight=Storage+Armrest I installed one on my 2003 Element and found it very handy. The cup holders are a "reach around". Didn't bother me, but my wife would flip up the armrest when she drove the Element. Used to be that Honda would only install the storage armrest of Elements with automatic transmissions. I never understood why. My E was a 5-speed and the armrest posed no problems while shifting. Had to install it myself, but it was an easy DIY project.
