Honda 2000 Accord won't start.

2000 Honda Accord EX V6 does not start when turning key, no chugging, maybe just one click?

• I have recently changed the EGR valve because the car kept starting and dying immediately and giving me a Check engine light. I went to the dealer and had it corrected. 6 months later I began to experience this new issue as well as dying immediately after starting with no "CHECK ENGINE" light this time. After driving on the streets, not the highway, turning the key does not start the car. All you hear is silence or a single click. Maintenance is good, battery test is ok, spark plugs within 8 months, alternator test ok. When the key is turned on "II" the instrumental cluster shows oil light and battery light. This all began while being in traffic once and the car was giving me signs of wanting to die, although in never did. After that day the car started acting differently while on the road. Any input would help me troubleshoot. Thanks!

• Answer:

  My suggestion is a "sometimes" loose battery connection. Bumpier city streets that can jar a battery and a loose connection. Even though it looks and feels tight; its not. To check this I tap a roofing nail snugly between the connectors and both battery posts. I leave them in to see if the problem stops.
