What is progressive shifting?

What are some of the reasons that my 2000 honda crv is having trouble shifting?

    Ignore Katie Smith she has NO idea what she is talking about. Honda's from 1997+ are known to have transmission issues if they aren't well cared for, including the Accord and the Civic. The CRV's are well built vehicles. You ever notice how many on the early models you still see on the road today? That being said, if you haven't changed your transmission fluid when you should have then you very well may need a new transmission or a transmission rebuild. Check your transmission fluid. If it's really dirty (dark brown/black) or has a burnt smell then you're in trouble. I suggest changing the transmission fluid to see if this solves the problem. Make sure you use Honda approved fluid. Good Luck

i suggest that change ur spark plugs and check transmission panel.

I'm going to guess it is an auto. The transmission is slipping so get a transmission service to rectify it.

Because they used the truck loop holes to make SUV parts and SUVs themselves with cheap parts and lower standards so they don't last as long as a civic or accord would.
