  • Answer:

Buy the engine and do it yourself, if you have the tools and equipment, it will take you about 8 hours tops and will cost about 4 grand including the engine

OK these people are idiots, the motor and tranny BY ITSELF will run $4,000-$5,000. After this you will need axles, shift linkages, motor mount kit, complete engine wiring harness from the motor, and the ECU. If you take it to a shop it will cost a total of about $1,200-$2,000 in labor. A better alternative is the GSR motor B18C1 and you can get it done for less total than the cost of just the motor/tranny of the B18C5.

cost of the installation or cost of installation plus all the parts? http://passwordjdm.com/B18C-R-OBD2-98-Spec-Motor-Swap-LSD-P1581C201.aspx $4500 for the swap plus installation cost. im not sure if this swap came with the motor mounts for the eg.

As it's been said already it's thousands of dollars if done by so called professionals. Best thing to do is have your other car interested guy friends come over and help you.

Decent shop if you have most if not all the parts? Prolly $1k-3k. But tbh swapping a motor yourself isn't hard with a few friends, some tools and a weekend.
