    Depends what engine you have. If its a 4.3L V6, you have roughly 200 hp stock; 305 V8 Produced 225 hp; 350 in 1996 churned out 260 hp. If you have the 350 with the L31 Vortec heads you can make some good power without a supercharger. Do the normal things, exhaust, headers, upgrade the intake with a full cold air design (not a short ram) K&N filter, and get an aftermarket chip from JET. You should be able to make some good power. Superchargers can net you 20-40% more horsepower if properly tuned but are very expensive-and you will have to re-flash the computer.
