What will happen after GM goes bankrupt?

Since you posted this under "Holden" I presume you are asking from Australia. According to something I read a few weeks ago, Holden is a GM division that actually runs at a profit, so the future for Holden may not be all that bright but it might continue to exist. I can imagine someone like Toyota buying it, or maybe some other company. In the USA the American government has taken over 60% of GM, the rest seems to have been bought by the car worker's unions. What will happen? I don't know, but it's probable that some of the factories will keep working, perhaps with a more limited range of products until the business is re-organised. For example, they might stop making Cadillacs or maybe Pontiacs but keep on with whatever brand is profitable or close to profitable. That might take a few years, and most likely the US government will sell off it's share to some likely buyer. Who? Nobody knows, but it's likely to be mostly a US based company.

You know it. I know it. This is the end of the BIG 3. We already have Government Motors. Next it will be CriesALot. Then Fold Motor Co. The current Administration drives Lexus', Beemers and Benz'. They could care less about the consequences of their actions in Detroit and beyond. Typical Limosine Liberals and Gulfstream Environmentalists.
