2003 cadillac cts How long they last?

  • I was thinking about buying a used 03 caddy cts with about 90,000 miles on it. I was hoping someone would know how long the cts' last and if there were any problems with them since this was the first year of the cts.

    If the car was maintained it is a good investment I work for a GMC and Cadillac dealer and the cts is our biggest seller and they are very fuel efficent and the CADDYS ARE BUILT TO LAST AND TO A HIGHER STANDARD but if you do not maintain them (any car or truck) they will not last we have a customer that has a 04 CTS that has over 200,000 miles on it and it has all the origanal engine and trans in it.

I don’t suggest buying a Cadillac. It’s not very well made, it’s not fuel efficient and it’s just a Vauxhall with a different frock. The American cars produced by GM, such as the Cadillac, are built to last only a few years. I would suggest something like a Falcon or Mondeo. They are all about the same size but the Fords offer a better package overall.
