Can a v8 engine fit in a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme SL coupe?

  • I have a 96' Cutlass Supreme SL coupe with a v6 3100 engine. I know that it can house a 3400 engine, but I was wondering if somehow it could fit a v8 engine. If not, how can I increase the power, performance, top speed, and overall horsepower of a 3400 engine that I would use for this Cutlass. Also, can someone tell me how I can modify the exhaust so that instead of there being one tail pipe on the right, it would have twin exhaust on both the left and the right of the car?

    lets be honest here, No you cannot put a v8 in to that car, cause if your driving that car, you cannot afford the thousands it would take to do that job, it is a fwd car and all of the v8's today for the most part are rwd cars. If you want to hop something up buy another car, good luck

yes you can depending on how much money you want to shell out you can put a v8 in anything you could put a chip in it or a turbo on it nitrous if you want duels on it thy sell mufflers that has pipes on both sides it is dull exhaust it sounds the same but if you want true dull like i said before it depends on how much you want to spend hope this helps some this is just a few things you can do there is a lot more you can do if you want to spend some money

Yes, it can be done as long as you have the money and time. Look over the magazine racks in the grocery or drug stores and look for issues of engine swaps in Hot Rod, Street Machine, etc for what you have in mind and purchase the issue that will be of help. A muffler shop like Midis can make and install the duel pipes as required.
