1st Responder is not right either. As a former GM tech and Parts Manager, surely he is aware that the Tech 2 is useless when working on a system that is not on the data line! You need to do the following: 1. Sit in the vehicle driver's seat. 2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder. 3. Close all of the vehicle's doors. 4. Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. 5. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position. 6. Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second. 7. Open and then close any vehicle door. You will hear a chime when the remote control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode. If you do not hear a chime, start again at step 1. 8. Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds. 9. Repeat step 8 in order to program each additional transmitter. 10. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder. 11. Install the MALL PGM fuse back into the fuse panel If this is not working, are you hearing the chime after step 7?

Take it to the Pontiac dealer, they will probably set it for you free...

easiest way would be over ride factory and install a deluxe remote start system in your vehicle. I would suggest either Design tech or Code Alarm.

If you did everything correct, you probably have non compatible key fobs. Try again. If this does not work get on eBay and do some shopping. The worst case would be that the receiver needs to be replaced. This will cost you around $100.

CALL a dealership first. Ask for the serial/part number for the remote key fobs. Compare them with yours. And if you go the the dealer to get them reset, be advised that they charge $25 and up for the service. Also search on http://www.automotivehelper.com

Orwell was not right......Take the vehicle to the dealer, allow them to scan the vehicle with a TechII to check for stored codes, and re-program the transmitters to the reciever in the vehicle. You may find there to be a problem with the reciever.
