Are you happy with your Toyota Tundra?

Is the Toyota Tundra better than the GM trucks??

  • I heard and saw this fantastic Toyota Tundra truck. The Tundra is really awesome. Does GM have any similar size truck that can stand up to the Tundra in quality and design? I doubt it. Toyota is now going to whip GM's butt in the truck catagory. Hey, GM workers, eat the Tundra's dust. LOL.

  • Answer:

I heard that this truck want-to-be has a lot of recalls, last I heard it was like 72 issues with it.It won't even come close to selling as many trucks as GM,Ford or Chrysler. Oh a little info,I heard that the Hyundai was the lowest quality vehicle built.

sure the Tundra is better - if you like snapping camshafts. Just look at a Tundra the styling is a rip-off of every american truck made. And what types of trucks do you see all the farmers, ranchers and other workers using? Always old (and some new) fords. I see mostly fords and some chevys at construction sites but rarely any toyotas.

Move to Japan if that's who you'd like to support. BUY AMERICAN!!

"Hey, GM workers, eat the Tundra's dust. LOL" I guess then you do not care about the USA becoming a consumer nation only and no manufacturing. No, the Toy cars and trucks are NOT built here, but assembled using foreign parts....Big Difference. Don't send your future retirement and privileges to a foreign nation if you can avoid it. Why don't you ask the AMERICAN woman that was the victim of sexual harassment by the JAPANESE TOYOTA President!! They want to rape or industry and now our women. How proud are you of that??

I would take a GM truck and the F150 over the Tundra.

Well, you should have 'asked' this 'question' in Toyota, then. GM trucks beat all foreign trucks. They last much longer than any Toyota can hope to be. To beat the Tacoma, we have the Colorado and the Canyon. To beat the Tundra, we have the Silverado and the Sierra. To top it off, the GM trucks can actually haul stuff and will get decent fuel mileage (hybrid models)

LOL yourself. Which truck was Motor Trends truck of the year? Toyota? No. Try Chevy. Which manufacturer won the most recent JD Powers Initial Quality study? Toyota? No. Try Ford Which manufacturer is recalling vehicle after vehicle because their quality is slipping? Ford or GM? No. Try Toyota. I will allow that Toyota has made a good truck. As far as the automotive press is saying, Dodge and Nissan better watch out, but GM is way ahead and Ford is at least equal to the Toy challenge. BTW, I recently ran an experiment on Yahoo Answers. I asked anyone who test drove both the Tundra and a domestic competitor to answer why they chose the Tundra. Do you know what I found out? As far as I can tell, people aren't even comparing; they are chosing based on TV ads. Isn't that sad? And one more BTW to Neil M: When Europeans judge American quality as bad, what do they think of Jaguar, Mini, and VW always having lower initial quality numbers over here? I remember the old joke "Why do the british like warm beer? Because Lucas makes refrigerators, too!" Don't go thinking your cars are all that, or you have anything to add to this particular argument. You don't have the same market as we do over here, and don't really have your economy being siphoned off by people who are sheep watching the pretty TV commercials and selling their country to the Japanese. Too many of us have partaken in the Toyota and Honda corporate Kool Aid and think they are making informed decisions when they are not. The Toyota is really not the truck it's maker claims it to be, and we're in a fight against them anyway... It is incredible BS if you ask me...

I guess you haven't seen the video that showed the F-150, Silverado, and new Tundra on an off-road test that had the trucks go over a long series of bumps. The F150 and chevy did really good. The tundra shook real bad and the bed looked like it was going to just rattle off the frame. I look to see if I can find the video later.

wtf?

Yes Toyota's are regarded as the most reliable manufacturers in the car market. Their trucks are among the best. In Australia 95% of all 4x4's used in the outback are Toyota because of their strong build quality, relilability and excellent 4wd systems. there is plenty of power available wit Toyota 5.7 i-force V8. America is caught up in its own car industry. I am from the uk and have a neutral opinion since i am neither American or Japanese. American cars are considered a poor quality car in europe and apart from ford dont really sell any cars. Japanese cars are considered extreamily relilable and well made. I am also a member of an off-road club using modified 4x4's, nobody uses American trucks, they are all Japanese and Land Rovers. I own a 19 year old Daihatsu Fourtrak with the original 2.8 Turbo Diesel Toyota engine and it outpreforms all the Land Rovers. A note 2 d guy injunravi Jaguar is now owned by Ford. The Tundra is not sold in europe, maybe its a good thing, We have the Hilux instead. the F150 is not 4wd
