Problems with Ford E150 Cargo van Fuel pump?
-
I have a 2001 ford e150 Econoline cargo van. 4.6 liter v8. 185000 miles. After the van warms up, about 15-20 minutes, it starts to hesitate or jerk under normal acceleration. I replaced the transmission filter and fluid right after the problem started, however the old fluid and filter didn't look that bad. I just replaced the fuel filter and it still happens. If I let it cool down, it runs fine for another 15 to 20 minutes and then starts again. While the problem is happening, if I pull over and put it in neutral or park and give it gas it revs up without any problems. I am thinking about replacing the fuel pump next, but wasn't sure.
