How much is a 1998 mustang worth? rebuilt V6 new paint new clutch?

Life expectancy of a 1998 V-6 Ford Mustang?

  • I own a 1998 Ford Mustang. I've replaced the hood, tires, clutch, bumper, brakes, new paint job and i've installed a K & N air filter. I take it for an oil change every 3,000 miles and the regular engine tune up. The car has over 116,000 miles and it still runs great. I just want to know if I should start to save up for a newer mustang or keep accumulating miles on this one? I drive it fast here and there, but I have no idea how the previous owners drove it. I bought it with 110,000 miles on it. It's been a dream of mine to restore a mustang. I'm a college student and I serve my church and youth group so I need a dependable car. This car has been great to me so far and I love this car.

  • Answer:

With regular maintenance, there is no limit on how long it will last.

with regular maitenance and it seems like you keep up with everything and take care of it good...if it still runs great, then keep driving it till you run it into the ground...lol well mustangs wont go forever like hondas do....although your mileage is getting a little up there, wat i would do is just put a little money away every month or sumthin for a car fund..just in case for later. maybe in the long run go with a more fuel efficient car..but thats just my opinion......i love mustangs tho!
