    there are many different types of "flywheel tools" for sale that are made to catch and rotate the flywheel or flex plate in order to rotate the motor. check with any tool manufacture and see what they offer for your application. this is the only way you can rotate some high compression motors such as diesels. if you are using the nut on the harmonic balance to rotate the motor you should take all the plugs out to reduce the compression. its done all the time but is not really considered a good, or correct procedure. type in flywheel tool and search.

Grab a 1/2 inch rachet with either a 3/4 deep well socket or 5/8 deep well and put it on the harmonic balancer main bolt and turn clockwise.. probably better to do it from underneath for clearance issues as the fan clutch gives you little room from the top side.
