2002 ford explorer sport trac. Check engine lite on. When stopped at light, shakes a but. Why? Anyone else 2?

Disconnect the check engine light, and everything will be perfect

Post the error code(s) you get when you scan it, and someone should be able to make a suggestion.

well i am not sure but you can take it to auto parts stores and some will do a free check on the engine. i dont know what stores are around you but where i am Advance Auto Parts, and Auto Zone will do it for free. Just from experience, dont buy the part right off the bat when they tell you whats wrong. Take it home and check any hoses or electrical plugs on the part they say is failing. I recently had a problem with my Ford Explorer but it was the EGR valve. as it turns out it was just a dry rotted hose on it. but unfortunatly i bought the part. luckily they took the part back. but they dont always take it back, so i would say check hoses and electical and any loose sensors on it ect. Go to a checkers or autozone parts store, they can read your check engine lite and give you the code and tell you what it means.
