How many seats are there in a Ford SportKa?

• I have a 1988 Ford Ranger and my seats are really out of shape. They have burnt holes. They are faded. They seat ok but they could be alot more comfortable. Also my truck is a straight shift. It also doesn't have a cup holder which makes it hard when I'm driving. I don't know of anywhere in my area that has a salvage yard to get seats for my truck. I like the way some of the new seats are in the 2006 and 2007 Ford Rangers are with the bucket seats and the cup holders in the middle. My question is will the seats that come in a new Ford Ranger fit in my older model Ranger?????

  20 years later and no you can not guarantee the 06 or 07 seats will fit your Ranger. Ok, so you do not have a Bone yard in your area. First get ahold of Ford and find out the positioning of the bolt holes in your models floor boards and what year the seats stopped lining up for your body style. You can do this by calling 800-392-3673 between 8-5 central time they should be able to get you specifics on which years are fully interchangeable for exterior, interior, electric and so on. They can also tell you which appropriate bucket seats will fit and you can get a center console from Amazon that meets your needs. Do Not Spend $$$ thinking todays seats will fit until you honestly know that the bolts will line up...as if you retrofit and your wrong, even your insurance will frown at you. Ebay will allow you to get seats much cheaper than you might think with no boneyard. Also before you give up, do a google search on auto recycler...as that is the new vogue term for salvage yard and bone yard. You might be suprised what you have in your area. However, arm yourself first and know what does and doesnt fit your Ranger.
