What is good asking price for 93 mustang?

What would you do - regarding buying this mustang?

  • Okay. Its a 99 Mustang, Convertible, GT, 65k miles, Real nice car. Has some flaws like he scraped a wall with his bumper so theres visible white paint on the dark green car, little oil around the engine valve. Around 3 scratches around the entire car. Leather is good condition, has this black line of some sort of paint on it, maybe i could get it off. Heres a KBB - Excellent - 7700 Good - 7180 Fair - 6530 He wanted 8k. I went to go see the car and i pointed out the bad about it, and he said ill sell for 7500. I offered 7200. I emailed him back the next day and he said okay - Ill drop it down to 7300 for you. Hes been ignoring my email about me asking if hes interested in 7200 still. The thing is - I looked around 4 diff states, and theres no other GT Mustang with the New Edge style (years 99-04) that is convertible, and is in the price range. Theres an 01 that has like 74k miles, and asking 10k. Another 00 GT with 92k, asking 9600. Alot of these mustangs around my area are way about KBB. My father thinks i should wait and see if he goes for the 7200. Like wait 2 weeks. But im afraid it will be bought by then. I also need to buy snow tires for it (running around 600$) So every dollar i can save, would be great. But, Do you think its a good deal? What do you think i should do? What would YOU do in my shoes? Btw - Im 17 - my first car, ive saved up 17k since i was 13, Im keeping 10k in my savings, want to spend the rest on a nice car. I feel like i deserve it. =]

WELL first of all its a ford (fix or repair daily) that is what it stands for. I am would be worried to pay that much for used car. you can go to dealers and request what is was in accidents and stuff. maybe you might not want to know but its to your benefit it could be the frame is messed up and never know it. I would just wait untill arrelly good deal comes around this one is not good period it stinks.

Well if you want a NICE car don't get the convertible GT, get something that does more. And F&*^ that guy there will always be a better deal just wait for it. Try looking for a used 'mach 1' mustang or a Roush but Personally I think the convertible is just boring, aside from the fact that car's bought exclusively by snobby wives.

If you feel good about it, get it. These are really great cars. Enjoy, I say!

Nobody here, knows what they are talking about. I am the same age as you. I wouldn't throw down that much money. He knows you have money so he is trying to get what he can get out of you. I wouldn't pay that much, the most i would give would prolly be like 5550! The engine already needs work. Its not worth that much. My bro has a 2000 Mustang it is a pos. The roof is super low, its the most uncomfortable ride of life, and people can barely fit in the back seat. Think about it that guy is a liar! 10 years with 65k miles! It was probably crashed and parked in a backyard for 5 years! Green is a super undesirable color anyways, nobody in their right mind would pay so much! You could get a nicer newer one with lower mileage even an 05' for that price, it won't be a gt though.
