How much horsepower can a supercharged mustang v6 get up to?

How to convince my dad to get me a v8 mustang instead of a v6?

  • I'm getting a Mustang hopefully soon 1999-2004 and I want a v8. Hes cool with the horsepower and stuff but he says that gas is gonna get expensive. How can I convince him to get me a v8 instead of a v6?

    Look at a comparison and show him.. You wont be losing that many MPGs for getting a V8 over a V6 and quiet frankly, if you get a V6 mustang people would just end up laughing and maybe saying you only have a pony... Other than the power a pride factor, there isnt much else that could be different... But you could say you really want to work on the engine, and with a V6 the upgrades wont be as benifitial as compared to a V8

there is plenty of reason why not to get a V6 theyre weak they dont hold value like v8s do they suck and mpg's arent much better than the v8 gt lol your friends might make fun of your lack of HP

sniperlif3 Hit the nail on the head. Tell him you want to make it a one of a kind car, that you will never want to sell. You want something worth putting upgrades on. But my friends stock V6 mustang ran 13's. Not to bad for stock, but hes a hell of a driver.

you don't need to be a girl to drive a v6 mustang, as that being looked down upon. i am a girl, but i have a V8 & i love it. the car i had before was a ford explorer, and i loved that car too but i have wanted a mustang for as long as i can remember. the explorer got about 15 mpg and with the mustang i get about 20-25mpg depending where im driving and how im driving lol. in my opinion it depends more on how you drive the car rather than the car itself. if you race, and blow past people at stop lights and all that youre gonna waste alot of gas. haha but thats the fun part, the first week i got mine thats what i did(:
