What is the gear ratio on a 1995 crown victoria lx?

• How many teeth are on a ring gear and pinion gear on a 1995 crown vic? i have been told if i know this i can do the math to figure out what the gear ratio would be? i have a 1995 crown victoria lx i need to know the gear ratios because my rear end is shot and i am trying to find a replacement but need to know this before i go looking for a rear end thanks so much the sooner the better the small amount of research i have done looks like most models have a gear ratio of 3.08 but need to make sure what they are for the 1995 year model thanks again and answer as quick as you can pls thanks Category

  you should be able to find this information on the id. tag on door jam. also most rear ends have a little metal tag attatched to one of the bolts holding rear end assembly in the housing.this tag will have the ratio stamped on it.as far as getting the right one they are interchangeable.the higher the ratio numbers the lower it will be geared the lower or smaller the number it will be high geared.go with the higer geared for gas mileage if you do a lot of driveing but if you use it to tow with you need lower one.
