Where do they buy their stock?

Where do I buy a stock replacement camshaft?

  • I need a stock replacement camshaft for a 1986 302 5.0 mustang engine. Its a factory roller I don't want a after market high lift. Just stock where do I buy it? How much do they cost?

  • Answer:

Go pull one out of a wrecking yard. If not, I bet I have one lying around here in the shop. Buy yourself a $10 box of 'Rocker Arm Pedestal Shims.' Best $10 you'll ever spend. Email: [email protected]

Most auto parts places can order new cams. I would suggest ordering a cam kit so you have the lifters too, don't forget the cam lube. There are some nice cams for this engine with out going radical by the way and maybe a little more cam would be worth it.

Old Man Dirt

Cheapest place I know is Summit Racing or JEGS. They can order it if it is not in stock.
