How much would it cost to rebuild a engine on a ford focus?

  The cost depends on how far the engine is worn out and how far you want to take it up in performance. Some of the Focus models use a power-train that interchanges with the Mazda engines very easily. Which means that a turbo charged engine can be found that will bolt right up. The CV joints are a bit weak for this and there are articles on the internet on power up grades. The BPT comes to mind for a power swap. If nothing that wild is wanted even the 1.6 or 1.8 might work.
