How can a 1970 Ford F250 4x4 have a 4.10 in the back and a 4.11 in the front?
-
I was looking up specs on a 1970 F250 and it said there was a 4.10 in the rear and a 4.11 in the back,How can they do that and not damage anything in the transfer case or axles?

Answer:
.01 is a .24% difference not counting transmission ratios that's less than the difference in tread wear on some cars and the 4x4 is only used off road so the tires can slip a little.

That was a fairly common gearing back in the day, especially if you like to mud the truck. That way the fronts are turning just a slight bit faster then the rears, so the front stays in front & the rear doesn't try to swing-out & around.
