Whats the difference between a regular mustang and a mustang GT?

    Engine: Base, V6 GT, V8 Transmission (manual Base: T-5 GT: TR-3650 Rear Axle Base, 7.5 inch GT: 8.8 inch, Limited Slip Brakes Base, 11.4 inch rotors (front) GT, 12.4 inch rotors (front) Tires Base, 16/17 inch wheels, 215/65/R16 all season tires GT, 17-19 inch wheels, 235/45/ZR17 performance tires (stock) As you can see there are more than few mechanical differences. That IMO more than justify the price hike. I'm just scratching the surface here. If you are an enthusiast the GT is worth the money. If you're just a poseur who just wants to be seen in a cool looking car, opt for the base model.

Besides just the V6 & the V8 motor, there are a lot of interior and exterior differences. Such as : The GT will have nicer upgraded rims, and tires The GT will most likely have Leather interior. The GT will usually have an upgraded sound system The GT will also have exterior upgrades. regular has a small v6 engine which if you ask me is a little wimpy. on the other hand, you got the 4.6 liter v8 given out roughly 300 horspower, so you get a little more bang for you buck. usally the chicks go for the v6 just cuz they dont care, but i personaly would get the v8.

The GT is the high performance variant of the regular Mustang. It has a V8 engine that produces 100 more horsepower than a regular Mustang's V6. Regular Mustangs perform just fine though. I've driven a base model '07 Stang rental car and it was pretty fast.

The GT is a V-8 car. The regular mustang is a V-6 or a 4-cylinder.
