How do I hook up multiple units to a Sound Bar?

How do I hook up Sound bar to Flat Screen Analog?

  • I'm trying to hook up a sound bar a recently purchased, it's a Panasonic SC-HTB350. The Flat Screen I have is a Toshiba 40FT2U. The TV does not have an optical port, and the sound bar does not have an HDMI port, so my only option is the red and white analog ports. For some reason, it wont work! The only ports I have on the TV is HDMI, Digital output (1 orange port) and Video/color stream HD (Green, red, and blue ports) I've also tried 2 different cords, and I know for sure at least one of them work, as I usually use it for a DVD player in another room. Any help would be appreciated!

  • Answer:

You would need a analog to digital converter. To be honest, I would return that soundbar. I have a panasonic and it uses an HDMI pass through.
