Home theater question?
-
I have a Sony DVD home theater system, and when I play DVDs I get Dolby digital 5.1 sound. I plugged my Xbox 360 into the system with an optical cable, and I only get Dolby pro logic 2 sound. How do I get Dolby digital sound with my Xbox 360?? My home theater system is plugged into my tv with an hdmi cable and all of my inputs are left in my tv, I just use the optical cable from my tv to my receiver to get sound from the speakers.

Answer:
Keep in mind that not all games have the Dolby Digital sound. You have to check the game you are playing and see what it is decoded with. Hope this will help you out.

I don't own an xbox but on my ps3 I specify the optical connection and it sends a 5.1 signal. However, the game must also support 5.1 channel.
