I have a 1989 Mustang 5.0. Will the motor out of the 1989 go into a 1995 V6 Mustang?

People do that all the time. I've dropped old 440 chrysler blocks and 501 chevy's into all kinds of newer vehicles. Ignore the smog test guy. Unless you live somewhere that actually tests that. It will fit.

yes. the 95 mustangs had a 5.0 option anyway, and the 95 is just a modification of the fox platform (the 89 is a fox body)... they share many suspension components. you will probably need new motor mounts (ones from 89 may work), and you may need to swap the radiator from the 89 as well too (95 v6 radiator may be smaller) you will also have to splice in the wiring harness and computer for the 5.0 (unless its carburated). the transmission and drive shaft from the v6 should fit the 5.0 unless you live where they smog test (like California) i wouldn't worry about the smog crap. it will be much more difficult than you anticipate. not impossible... but make sure you have a friend who is good with cars help you out. good luck

Yep, it will fit, but you'll need a lot of stuff to get the job done. Motor mounts, trans, driveshaft, suspension, and the big thing is the CPU. The motor shouldn't matter as long as you use the other electronics and the same oxygen sensor systems.
