What are the best tires for 2005 Ford Explorer?

Hankook DYNAPRO ATM tires for 2007 Ford Explorer XLT 4X4?

  • I am thinking of buy a set of 235/70-16 HANKOOK DYNAPRO ATM RF10 70R16 R16 70R TIRES for my 2007 Ford Explorer XLT4x4. The Hankook website tell me there are for my truck but Ford says they are not compatible. I knew the speed rating is a 107tr instead of the 104s which Ford says is rated for my truck. Who should I believe? They are a great buy and living in New York with the some times harsh winters can be driving challenge. Thanks.

Sure, the Hankook Dynapro HP RA23 would work. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?yr=2007&pc=10811&counter=3&ar=70&rd=16&vid=009606&sw=false&cs=235 If you are running a 16 inch wheel, and are in need of P235/70R16 XL 107T tire the RF10 is an outstanding option. A speed rating of T compared to S is actually one grade "up". Absolutely no reason why you could not use this tire. Good choice. The dealer is full of it.
