How much does it cost DYNO TUNE?

Do I need buy a flash tuner in order to get a dyno tune?

• I don't understand how dyno tunes work. im thinking about just buying bama custom tuner for my 03 mustang gt do i need a flash tuner anyways to get a dyno tune?

  If you want to have a tune emailed to you, you will need a tuner to upload it to your car. But if you take you car to an actual shop that does dyno tuning, they'll upload the tune for you while the car is there. A "dyno" tune is when you take your car to a shop that has a chassis dyno, they put the car on the dyno and do a baseline run, then they use telemetry from the computer that's hooked up to your car to see where they make adjustments to the ECU programming, they make some changes, and another pull to see how those changes affected the car, and they make more adjustments, until they determine which tune produces the most power while maintaining engine reliability.
