How do i make my 1998 ford ranger sound good?

How can i cheaply make my ford ranger sound louder/deeper?

  I own a shop, and about the cheapest way to make it sound good is to put a cherry bomb muffler on it. I have a buddy that has a F-150, and he put one one his truck, and it sounds sweet. They will sound better as they get burned out some. They only cost about $20 each, and you would need some clamps, but you can get this, and install it for under $30. I don't think you could do it any cheaper, unless you just took the muffler off, but then you would get fumes inside the truck, so you wouldn't want to do that. I have seen those exhaust tips on many vehicles, and they seemed to work great. They can be loud, but they do work good. If you put them on, you can get a pipe to replace your muffler with, and install a tip like you are talking about. I see a lot of guys doing this, and I think they sound good to. Of course I like loud cars anyway. I have a race car, and it is loud. Matter of fact it is so loud I can't crack the throttle inside the shop due to it might damage your ears. When I race I like to be able to hear the engine, and not have to rely on my Tach to tell me when to shift. Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!
