In all I had some twenty odd Mk 3 and 4 Cortinas. In their day the only cars to come anywhere near them were Dolly's and Marinas, yes Marinas!

The cortina mk 3,4,5, were the best cars made, very comfy reliable and easy to fix. Never owned one but travelled many a mile in them. GT 2lt ... wish i had one

ooh yeah, it was my first car. a 2ltr engine and it went like the clappers. full of rust, but i loved it. bright yellow one. the prop shaft went so it went to the great scrap yard in the sky. i did some miles in that car, thanx for reminding me of the fun i had

I've had many Cortinas in the past, ranging from a Mk.1 to a Mk.5. I had a gold Mk.3 1600GT. It was a nice motor, but the Mk.3 did suffer from being very light on the back end, making it it easy to lose on corners. My Mk.3 was stolen and I never saw it again :-(

Worked on all the cortina,s,good reliable easy to repair and the Lotus Cortina was a formidable car in its day
