I have a 3.8L V6 SFI engine. What does the SFI stand for?

SFI is Sequential Fuel Injection, where fuel is injected to each cylinder just in time to be sucked in; EFI is Electronic Fuel Injection... same thing basically, but the fuel is injected to all cylinders in the bank at one time. (SFI is a special form of EFI)

I never heard of Sequential Fuel Injection. What you could have is Single Point Fuel Injection. I STAND CORRECTED, SFI does stand for Sequential Fuel Injection. Click on the detail box for more info. Just when I thought I knew It all.
