I'VE JUST TREATED RUST ON MY 1991 ESCORT CABRIOLET 1, PRIMED AND WENT TO BUY CAN OF TOP COAT. HALFORDS DON'T HAVE CODE LISTED AND ONLY HALF THE RANGE OF PAINT CHIPS. CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THE COLOUR MZ 1. I WAS TOLD THAT '1' IS YR OF MANUFACTURE & 'M' REPRESENTS METALLIC; HOWEVER 'Z' IS SILVER. MY CAR IS A DARK METALLIC RED, ALMOST BURGUNDY. ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Do not use ford it will cost you a fortune. I had a ford mondeo in mallard green metallic paint. The paint from ford was 20 pound a tin. Went to halfords with vin plate numbers got match for car perfect match cost me 15 pounds for tin and touch up stick.

It will be best to go to your local ford dealer. We had a ford mondeo that was an interesting colour and we went to the dealer, they are quite reasonably priced as far as I know
