What is the difference between AT tires and Light Truck tires?

I put new tires and wheels on my 2008 Dodge truck the wheels and tires I took off were factory.?

  • After I put the new ones on the low tire warning came on.I checked all tires and they are fine. Also I went from a 17 inch to a 20 inch which that really made no difference in fact it rides a lot smoother. I was told there is a sensor on the original tires so how do I get the warning light to go out.

  • Answer:

The only way to get the light to go out is install the tire pressure sensors in your present tires. The sensors are in the valve stem assemblies on the original tires.

You will need to remove the sensors from the original wheels and have them installed on the new wheels. No more difficult than putting in new valve stems. The average tire shop won't charge a ton to do it.
