Driver license category B and Caravan?

Dodge Grand Caravan??????

  • My Daughter just got her driver license and my Partner and I are thinking about getting her, her first car. We found a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan ES with 49,600 miles For 12,600$. Is this a good starter.

  • Answer:

Sounds like a steal! Run a CARFAX report on it. She may not like it [Image problems]. Maybe you can get it repainted to color she would love. Update: Kelley BlueBook Lists: Excellent (condition) $13,005 . So price wise, it is high. You should get it for around $10,000.

I would say this vehicle is too large for a new driver. Caravan's have a blind spot, drivers side, just behind the drivers door. You use the mirror, but must do a visual check as well. For an 03 this seems expensive. I would help her out with a smaller car.

no,besides it not being a good beginner vehicle its way over priced, its 8 years old now so its not worth what their asking for it,try and find her a good smaller car to start out with, god luck.

No. Besides the fact that it is too big a vehicle for a new driver and the fact it is way overpriced, I'm sorry to tell you Dodge Caravans are notoriously unreliable. Everyone I know that bought one regrets it.

I think you want something older, cheaper (think 'disposable') and without so much room. You do not want her and 15 of her friends giggling and screaming and acting silly in there.
