My 97 dodge caravan horn stoped working cant seem to find the problem?

It happens, go to the local junkyard and grab a used one, any dodge vehicle horn will fit.

Under the steering wheel is a spring loaded carbon button that wears out. That is usually the first thing to go. You have to remove the wheel to get to it. If you are mechanically inclined it is pretty easy to do with a steering wheel puller which you can buy at an auto parts store. You can test the horn itself by using a jumper wire from the battery posive cable to the power input plug on the horn itself. If it works, than be prepared to remove the wheel.

we own a 98 caravan also. Usually when this happens there is a clock spring defect in the steering wheel (this is the case for our model) sometimes the airbag stops working too. they issued recalls for this. It may just be a blown fuse also check your fuse box if everything is fine there if the horn+plus airbag is out call our dodge dealer give them your VIN and they will tel you if there was a recal issued for this vehicle they fix it for free

Its prolly either a fuse or a lose wire. Check for voltage at the horn itself. Sometimes, even slight front-end body damage can result in your horn getting 'pinched' and not working when you depress the steering wheel horn pad. So check for those issues... Good Luck!
