Why isn't my laptop connecting to the internet?

Laptop having problems connecting to internet?

  • For a few months now, my laptop struggles to get an internet connection. Sometimes it will work fine, but other times it will only work for a few minutes, then the little yellow exclamation point shows up on the network connection icon in the bottom right on the toolbar, and I have to disconnect from the connection, then reconnect, and even then it sometimes only works for a few minutes before I have to do it all over again. It's not a problem with the internet, because there are two other laptops in this house that function perfectly fine, so I assume it's a problem with my laptop. What could be causing this and how can I fix it? I tried to troubleshoot the connection but it said no problems were detected, I defragmented, did a disk cleanup, and a virus scan. I have a Sony Vaio, less than a year old (please don't tell me to send the laptop back, I'd like to fix the issue myself if possible), Windows 7. Connecting to the internet via wifi.

This could be the technical issue... Report it to the service to get things fixed.... Good luck!
