How to make your laptop's sound system stop sounding like chipmunks?

  • Since my younger sister use my laptop 2 weeks ago, the system sounded very weird.Everytime I open a song in youtube it sounded like chipmunks singing instead... But when I open the same video on my parent's computer, it doesn't sound like chipmunks. I already ask my sister what did she do to it but she said that she didn't do anything. I know she was lying because after that she never used it anymore... I tried to ask my father to fix it or send it to the shop but he ignored me. I just wanted to know what my sister did and FIX MY LAPTOP!!! I can't hear song peacefully because it's voice is annoying me!!!

    Did she play with an EQ setting in iTunes or windows media center? Did she crank up the sound to max and listen to something with heavy bass in it? That can blow the tiny speakers, hence sounding like the chipmunks.

Look for the speaker at the lower right of your screen or find it in the configuration settings. There you can try to adjust the equaliser (treble, bass, ...). If you do not find it easily use 'Help' with search terms like 'sound, volume, ...'
