Help with webcam not working?
-
I have an Asus X50rl and my old operating system was Windows Vista 64bit but I recently change to Ubuntu.. For a few months, my webcam has been working fine, but last night, my Skype, stopped detecting my webcam, I went onto another program, it wouldn't detect my webcam... Anyone know how to get it detected again?!

Answer:
Try booting with a previous kernel version to see if it works. If not it may be possible that the internal connection worked itself loose.

Your driver could be out of date or the OS change might have affected it, or your webcam has become disconnected/damaged. Upgrade/update the driver, if that doesn't work consider webcam replacement/repair/reconnection. Good luck!
Unplug it and plug it back in
