How much will it cost to repair my Gateway laptop screen?

  • My screen in broken, but from the inside. (The has no visible cracks to the screen on the outside, so I believe the damage is internal) The damage is somwhat major, can barely see the screen but it still works like normal. My computer is a Gateway T-6836 (I pretty sure it is, but not 100%) So how much will it cost and should I repair it?

    The screen itself will need to be replaced, the parts should not cost more than $100, but the labor they include depends on them. But not thinking conservatively I would say $180 total.

If its still under warranty send it in. My Acer laptop had screen problems so i sent it in and they replaced the LCD. If its not under warranty, my guess is it would cost from $100-$200 depending on where you go. custom parts for specific models are hard for repair shops to come by sometimes, so your best bet would be whit the manufacturer.
