How to change contact my mac is under?

Ok so when i bought my iMac it was under another apple id. My mac thinks that since that apple id was not under my name that i am a different person in my address book. Now, i am using a different apple id under my name and it still thinks that i am a different person. How can i change who I am in the address book and things so that it thinks i am me and not the other person who the other apple id was registered under?
