How To Reformat The Computer?

How to reformat my computer properly?

  • Okay. So i've done a reformat of my computer last 2 months ago, i'm not sure if I did it right though. There's still some of the old files on my C: drive. So what should I do to make a complete reformat of my C: Drive (I mean a real complete one, no other files on that drive but the one windows installed). I also don't want my D: drive to get wiped out, because that's the place where backup my files. Is there anyway to do this? - Additional Info: I'm using a netbook, Samsung N150 with Intel Atom N450 as it's chipset. That means I don't have a DVD drive. When I do a reformat, I only install inside an operating system.

  • Answer:

yes... i would put all your backup files in a portable hard drive, then factory restore you computer. then you will not have to worry about old files in ur C:, plus because its factory restores your computer is back to the state on the day you bought it.
