How to replace the back up sensor?

Speed Sensor on 1997 Chrysler Cirrus..how to replace? Will pay someone 5 bucks to make a video!?

  • How would you locate the speed sensor on a 1997 cirrus? And how would you change it? The person who sold me the car said that is all it needs, and its only 17 bucks. when i drove the car home it seemed to stay in just one gear, or like i almost stalled on me? Once it got acceleration, it drove a little better. Please help! If someone posts a video or pictures on how to replace the speed sensor I will pay you 5 bucks either by mail or in paypal! :D please help!

    the sensor is on the trans. you have one bolt holding it in place and a plug with 3 wires to take off.

Chris those are easy to change and most good parts stores offer a free diagram or instruction print out that you can use to go by when changing it but if I were you I'd change both of the speed sensors at the same time. Hope that helps and best of luck.
