How to increase my minecraft fps?

• i was wondering how to increase my minecraft fps. i normally get like 25-40 but it goes lower than that too. i use optifine and fps++. btw i pretty much only play on a server- im a MOD :D thx in advance

  Optifine and other programs like that aren't scams exactly, but they really don't do very much to help you at all. I would go ahead and uninstall them. Gaming performance is like 90% tied to your hardware. If you want better fps on any game you're going to have to swap in some upgrades. Getting a new video card would be the most beneficial thing, but since minecraft is a lot more cpu/memory intensive than other games upgrading those parts would be beneficial too.
