What's a good webcam compatible with windows 7 64-bit?

HP Pavilion dv5 WebCam not installed, any idea why?

So i have a HP Pavilion dv5, I've had it for about 2/3 years and I've only just realised that the webcam isn't actually installed. The WebCam was installed when it was first bought but after Windows Vista was installed, it was unistalled. But the confusing thing is that the WebCam still works for Skype and things like that, its just the actual WebCam isn't on the desktop or the icon isn't present on the screen displaying whats connected to the computer. Also when I search for the webCam on the computer, there isn't anything found. Is there a website where I can re-install it? Do I need to restore my laptop? Any more suggestions are more than welcome :) thanks :')
