How much would a v6 engine swap before a 94 firebird?

What engine can i swap with my 94 chrysler lebaron convertable sohc 3.0 v6 auto...anything for more power....?

    I have seen some 2.5L V-6 transplants, but really not much more potential from that engine either. You could add turbos to the 3.0L but to make it live, you need new pistons, and some electronic mods. The lower end can hold much higher RPM's than the heads can flow, so any work done to increase the flow is power gained. 300 HP is an easy goal with better flowing heads and lower compression pistons, turbo and inner cooler.

The 3.0 is a Mitsubishi engine and should give plenty of power as is, but you could downgrade to a 4 cylinder with turbo or maybe step up to the Chrysler 3.3 but it would be a lot of work. Any thing other than just doing a quality rebuild with minor tweaks here and there will be expensive. Or you could sell me the Lebaron and get a Sebring Convertible which was the replacement for the Lebaron convertible. Good Luck.

I have worked in the service department of a Chrysler dealership for the last 15 years and I have not heard anyone change out engines except those that put a subframe in and convert them to year wheel drive with a V-8 engine installed but the cost to do that is really high.
