What consumer camcorders are compatible with a 35mm adapter such as jag35pro or twoneil?
-
I am also unsure of what lenses attach onto the adapter and how the quality looks. I am wondering if it is better to buy a consumer camcorder or if its better to shoot with a t3i dslr.

Answer:
the Jag uses a 37, 43 or 58mm thread and requires a Canon EF or FD mount. you will need to have or buy a 50mm lens to get DOF with this. the image is inverted, all your video will be taken up-side-down which can make composing shots really hard. finding a camcorder with that large a filter diameter won't be cheap either. The Canon Vixia HV30 comes to mind as it has a 43mm thread, which is also the model required for the twoneil adapter. if all you care about is the ability to take out-of-focus video, then the t3i dSLR would be a cheaper option.
